I'd rather not get a Crew Cab (4 full doors) but I'm not sure is an extended cab is large enough. Chevy appears to have the largest ext cab. But Dodge has that rear half door thing and ford just looks small; but I've never been inside any of them. I was wondering if I could get some input about how much leg room, shoulder room etc Ford, Chevy and Dodge have.
I'm your guy on this. My Dodge Quad cab has a LOT more room than my Dad's '98 C30 extended cab GMC. I have more leg room and the rear seat is a lot easier to access since I have doors and the GMC doesn't.
GM has the rear doors too, but no idea the relative sizes not having ridden in one. My 98 Dodge Ram was pretty decent with the dual suicide doors, and my son fit fine till he hit about 5'8" or so. That's when I had to find a full crew cab. He's now 6'1" @ 17 years old and quite comfortable in my CC but would have HATED the Ram by now...
My dad had an '03 or '04 Chevy 1500 and it had dual suicide doors. I didn't think the 2001.5 dodge had the rear half doors? Wasn't the 2001.5 the style just before the current '05 style? If so, I LOVE that style!
My 2001.5 has suicide doors just like most of the 94-02's. The 03-05's have normal opening doors. I am a little confused on the style you like. Like I said, the extended cab GM we have is a '98.
