Shaggy how much off of MSRP did you get your truck for? I know some people say they get deals at 25-28% below MSRP is that to much to hope for?

I got mine for just about $6000 or so off of MSRP. Here's what you do - go here and ask for an X-plan pin. When you get the pin go to the Ford dealer and tell them you want to order a truck on x-plan and boom, you just got a truck for $200 under invoice. My truck stickered at about $49k and I got it for under $43k.

I've heard rumors that Ford is going to start doing A-plan to everyone, and that's another $1000 or so under x-plan, so you might wait for that too.

I can get an X plan PIN from my best friend’s sister. The deal going on now for '05s is “A” plan for everyone.
    thanks waytogo

Yeah, that A plan thing would have been nice, but I had to order my truck to get what I wanted anyways, usually those smokin deals are just one trucks that are on the lot.

Go to Ford.com and look up Corning Ford. They have 2 '05 XLT CrewCab SRW 4x4 6 spd PSD trucks and 3 '06s same basic specs. waytogo

How do you like your 6 spd? How does the shifter feel? Compared to a old style 4 spd Hurst shifted car trans, if you've driven an older mussle car before?

Yeah, I've driven 60s Mustangs with 4 speeds before. The 6 speed in the Ford is a truck trans, you can shift it fast with practice, but you have to match RPMs real fast if you want to grab the next gear in a hurry. When I hit 10k miles or so I'm going to switch to synthetic oil in the trans, that's supposed to help smooth it out a bit. It definately doesn't accelerate like an auto truck, but it's an 8500 pound dually... I wouldn't trade it for an auto, I dig my handshaker.
