Ford Motor Co. said its Kentucky Truck Plant in Louisville is operating after a strike by supplier Navistar International Corp., Bloomberg News reported. "We're evaluating the short-term impact" of the strike, Ford spokeswoman Becky Sanch said. Navistar's Huntsville, Ala., plant, which is not unionized, is supplying International V-8 diesel engines to the Ford plant, a spokesman told Light & Medium Truck Report. "We're giving them all the engines they ask for," said Navistar's Roy Wiley. "We've assured Ford they'll have all the engines they want." About three-quarters of Super Duty trucks, which comprise about 40% of sales for Ford's F-Series trucks, are built with diesel engines from Navistar, Bloomberg said. L&MT
