Friend I work with is interested in a chip/programmer for his 3/4 EC, SB, 4x dodge.

Uses it mainly for going to and from job sites with only light hauling, but often tows his boat, or a 20' enclosed trailer.

When I mentioned that you can get a programmer that can switch from performance, to towing, economy etc. he was very interested, mostly in the economy selection. As it is a pig, he also runs bio when it is not the winter :D

    thanks

    Dave

Yes its programmable. You have 5 different settings. It also monitors,a number of different engine functions. So you dont need gauges.Plus it has safety parameters so you wont hurt your motor.

I love my edge. I get 2-3 more mpg when towing, no change when running empty.

I've seen one truck get a mpg+ improvement while another you don't see any. Neighbor has 2 cousins that bought trucks at the same time, same setup. One got 2-3mpg+ towing while the other didn't. They even swapped trucks to see if it was there driving style, nope. Why it helps one truck and not the other is a mystery...
