I thought I would list this truck here before I put it on eBay. I have used this truck primarily for transporting antique and classic cars through the states and parts of Canada. The truck was originally from Houston and I have not driven it in the two Michigan winters it has been here. 1998.5 Dodge SLT Club Cab, DRW, long bed, 24v CTD with 244K miles. Automatic trans was rebuilt by Roadmaster of Chicago for heavy duty hauling less than two years ago (24k miles) and it works great. The truck runs, 4" exhaust turbo back, edge EZ (reman-2006), K&N air box, 3.55 rear gear, 3 pod pillar gauges & column mount fuel pressure gauge. F.A.S.S. system installed and recent new injector pump, 6 new tires (less than 10k miles), gooseneck hitch, brake controller, class IV Hitch, bedliner. Factory options - air, pw, pl, am/fm w/single CD. Tilt, Cruise and everything functions properly. Remote control driving/fog lights. This truck has done a great job for me usually pulling a 30' gooseneck enclosed with one car (9-10K lbs). Pulls most grades in O/D. 20 mpg empty and 13-14 loaded, depending on terrain. I'm downsizing to a 2500 SRW to pull my new 24' enclosed tag for pleasure trips only. I'm asking $11,000, delivery may be available and I can email many pictures. This CTD Hauling machine is still for sale!!! This is my original post from March of this year. Notice the mileage was 245K, well it is now 8 months later and I did buy a new truck in Oct. Today the truck has 251K which means I drove it 6K miles in the last 8 months. Now you see why I had to buy a smaller light duty truck, I just could not justify keeping a Diesel Dually for the driving I did this year. Not to mention, my wife wanted SRW, MegaCab with leather. The 98 Quad CTD is rust free, the top of each rear fender extension has a crack. There is a slight dent in the rear of the roof beside the 3rd brake light. Also a noticeable dent in the rear bumper, I backed into guard rail. Everything on the truck works as it should. All the mods have been made to make this one nice hauling machine. The rebuilt trans is great, truck tows most of the time in OD, 13-14 mpg pulling 10K lbs. Extra tank allows runs of 1500 miles between fuel stops (towing) 2500 miles (not towing). Edge EZ went bad this year, so I sent it to Edge and they sold me a newer one that had been repaired and inspected by them. Injector pump was totally rebuilt by a local company with all the latest upgrades. Non-smoker truck, interior is in very good condition, not ripped or tore up in anyway. Back seat is never used, I've been retired for 7 years and I bought this truck to haul antique and classic cars about 3-4 years ago. Ask me any questions, I can send any pictures you want to see.
