95 Dodge, 3500 . Tested the solonoid and with direct current to the plug, it will pull up hard (starting mode position), and and stay up (run position) just fine ! BUT, at the plug (with 3 contacts) I get 17+- volts on the run connecter, but only less than 12 volts on the start up connecter. The solonoid will not go to run position without manually lifting it. Sounds to me like a bad solonoid relay, BUT WHERE IS THE DAMN THING?. Its not in the fender wall fuse box, is it on the firewall or near the starter relay underneath ? Please does anyone know where to start here ? Dont want to install a choke cable manual run/shutdown like a tractor, but at $350, a shot, don't want to buy another solonoid either. HELP please!

The relay is at the firewall. Just follow the harness and you should fing it. Relay cost about $60.00 from NAPA.

    Yep, what strictlyv8 said. It's in a dual-relay bracket.

Thanks guys, The relays checked ok, kept looking, and found that goofy blue in line fuse wire at the battery was bad !! Replaced it with a 40 amp fuse and straight # 10 wire. Problem solved ! THanks again
