I need some help. I just purchased a 2000 F250 7.3 powerstroke truck. I tow a 8.800 dry weight 5th wheel trailer. The truck did not have any working Gauges. Everyone tells me I need to have trans temp, pyro and egt. I also got this X-monitor with the truck it was not connected nor where there any instructions. I went to the website which was BD-Power and found instruction manuals. The problem is I am not sure if it is for this truck. There is no part number anywhere on the unit. I called The 1-800 number and they acted like they could not help me other then to say check the website for a manual. I call the auto sales office and they could not tell me anything about the unit either. I applied power to it and it seems to work. The display comes up with ver1.20. I tried to work the display as the instructions from the BD website stated but they did not work. Can anyone help I see to buy a new unit is $450.00. If I can get this one working it will help me to get gauges in this truck sooner. Is BD always so unwilling to help with information. I just can not imagine that they could not tell me anything about this unit other than to go to there website and get a manual from there? I guess this tells me not to buy any of their components because they do not support their products.
