My dad is having problems with the driver side rear caliper wanting to hang up on his '02 3500. The weird thing is it only does it sometimes. About half the time when he gets somewhere he can smell the brake. Does he need a new caliper? What do you guys think? He just bought the truck in June and had new rotors and ceramic pads put on.

Usually this is the pistons in the caliper becoming too damp and expanding when hot. The forst thing I'd do is ha ve the brakefluid changed. It is probably full of moisture. If that doesn't work rebuild/replace the calipers.
    Use new pistons.
