I've noticed that the big rigs have some sort of leather cover that snaps in the middle of their grills so that they can regulate the amount of air coming through the grill. Here in Michigan that would be real handy in the winter time. My 2500 doesn't even get to operating temp before I get to work! Anybody know of such a thing for 8-lug trucks?

yes there are companies that do make them for small trucks. i do not know right off who they are but i have seen em. i use a piece of cardboard spray paint it black and stick it behind the grille. does the same thing and cardboard is free...1 piece lasts me all winter

How do you secure the cardboard? Do you just wedge it in for a friction fit, use some sort of tape, or what?

    BTW, thanks for the advice.

I got a winter front from mopar last year, and am very happy with it. It has 4 flaps on it so you can adjust how much air gets through. The fit is very nice also. It go under the hood in front. Jeff

LUND also makes one. Works well up here in Alaska in the frigid winter.
