 so i have my fass fuel system on my truck and when ever i get to a lil over a1/4 tank and hit the brakes kinda hard, my edge comes up with low fuel pressure. and happens more and more as i get lower and lower on the fuel. i usually dont go much lower than a 1/4 tank, but i went to the local store about .5 miles away came back shut the truck off. go to leave work and the truck wont start, i have plenty of fuel at the pump and fuel pressure but still wont start. after about 45 mins of screwin around. i hit it with some ether and got it started. any suggestions of what might be the problem. i was thinkin the vp44 but i never have any other symptoms of the pump goin bad. when i installed the fass pump i kept the stock filter too. could that be part of the problem maybe? and thoughts, suggestions comments? thanks

You have the draw straw installed with the FASS. At the low tank level, when hitting the brakes the fuel sloshes forward and uncovers the fuel pick up. The 2nd gen trucks don't have a baffle plate in the tank, so there is a fair amount of fuel sloshing. That is your problem. You can fix it by installing a different draw tube, one cut a little longer. Or, the easy way is to keep the tank above 1/4.rotfl

Am I to conclude from this discussion that if I own a 2nd generation, upgade to a Fass system and run my fuel below a 1/4 tank I'm going to have this nagging problem?
