Hello again, the page told me I had not posted in a while so here I go. I am looking to buy a trailer that will eventually be my trailer for the K5 but for now will be used to tow my Saturn cross country when I PCS. My question is does anyone on here know of any good trailer dealers or manufacturers in the San Diego County area? I am looking for a 20 Ft bumper pull 10K GVRW or 9999 what ever you want to call it with slide in ramps and a dove tail. You know just the basic 20 foot trailer that almost everyone on here has.

    Thanks

    Ira

I don't have an answer but I found when looking for a trailer to buy, looking for a dealer was too confusing as to what they had instock so I started looking for trailer manufactures instead( on the internet). I found the trailer I wanted then found the nearest dealer that sold the trailer and that would give me the best service and price waytogo

I ended up with a 18' PJ Trailer:

    Have one !!!

Ira, I have what you are looking for !! It is a 20'x83" dovetail, metal DP deck, 10.4k # GVWR, electric brakes on one axle, brake-away kit, HD drop leg jack. Made by Terry's Trailers of Oklahoma, I am thier official west coast distributor. Trailer is brand new with just the trip from OKC to Vegas, can try to send pics if you are still in the market, (or anyone else). I am "asking" $3300 for it, delivery is also available or meet you 1/2 way. Very nice unit, also have some of their "Challenger" series also, along with some 18' standard haulers. Let me know! Mark

your best bet is to go up to the norco area. being a more country part of kali they seem to have more of a hillbilly selection of trucks, trailers and farm equipment. one of my favorite places to go honestly. reminds me of home a bit.

anywho, you could also check with kaufman trailers. i have a 32 foot Goose and LOVE it. the discounts they have for active duty is VERY nice. i got mine about 16 months ago when steel prices were a bit lower but with all the options i had i got the trailer almost at cost.

Thanks I will have to give Kaufman a call. Here is another question. Do trailer manufacturers offer financing or do I have to go through my bank.

i dont know of any manufactuers that offer financing. maybe some dealers but not typical of a flat deck or hauling trailer i imagine. might even be hard to get one through a bank for a trailer. look into getting a personal loan. use colateral if needed. tools work great for that, but make sure to only let them appraise what you can afford to loose, as sh*t happens...
