I have a '01 PSD and I was driving it and all of the sudden it lost power (not electrical). I floored the gas peddle and it had no power. I pulled over and the truck died. It started back up but died right away. I was thinking maybe it was the Cam position sensor. What are your thoughts?

I found a CPS on ebay for pretty cheap so I will try that out. I checked the oil and it is fine. I just changed it about 1000 miles ago. I'll let you know what happens.

    Thanks

    Back to square one

Well it wasn't the CPS or the oil. Not sure what to do now.

Did you buy it new? If not check the idm for corrosion. Some guys pry them open to do the 5k mod and never seal them up correctly. If they start to corrode the truck will eventually stop running. There's no fix for it other than getting a new one.
