Well after having a "tow rig" for 3 years im finally getting a trailer for the K5. Had some questions about helper springs, any info about good or bad types, brands if they are even needed. I will be using a 02 2500HD with the 6.0 I know its a small gasser so any good ideas there i'll take too, thanks. Paul

Why do you want helper springs? Seeing how it's a 3/4 ton truck I think the stock setup should be adequit with a tailer and K5.

If you look at the rating, they are much higher than what you normaly see in what would be called a 3/4 ton truck.

In any case, don't worry about it until you try it. I have mine completely stock and tow my junk all over the place with no trouble. It's way more than capable of the less than 7k load your talking about.
