I signed on the line and got this...

1998.5 Ram 2500 Cummins, 5spd, quadcab, 4x4, longbed. It has 71,000 miles, PDL, PW, CD, tape, CC, power seat, heated mirror, sliding window, nice cloth interior, etc. I also purchased a 2yr/24K extended warranty. It cover pretty much everything including the VP44 and all the other expensive stuff.

I pick it up Tuesday. :D

Sounds like the warranty that I got. Who's it through? Be carefull though, they don't cover everything like the dealership tells you. I've already had two things that I thought would for surely be covered, but it isn't. Like....

My passenger side Bose speaker makes a funny noise every once and a while, the dealership said it's enough that they would change it. My service contract would not replace it. I have a small crack on my dash near the glovebox underneith. Dodge said they would just replace the whole dash, service contract wouldn't cover because they don't cover dashes either. But, they do cover all the important stuff so thats what can make it worth it, but you have to have a big failure like a tranny or a VP44 to get your money back, I've spent 1.5yrs trying to get my $2K back with little things here and there and with a deductable and them not wanting to cover half of it, it's very hard to get your money back out of them through repair work. I'm still hoping for a tranny or VP44 to let go because it would make the service contract worth it, They would then have way more money into the truck than what I paid for the warranty (my goal:D ) but I only have 5K left on the contract and no signs of failure. I guess thats a good and bad thing.:doah:

Anyway, I don't think I'll be buying a service contract ever again, they are too much of a PITA, but if you get a truck that has a major problem or two it becomes very worth it.

The truck looks very nice, I like the steps.

You might want to check out my write up on the flip out towing mirrors, the stock mirrors suck.;)

Bose Speaker? I thought Dodges had Infinity sound systems for that year?

71K is great mileage for a '98. And you definitely got the right color :D

Oh yeah, infinity. Regardless, both are still crap that the manufacturer calls "premium."

Nice grab! Thats killer mileage for an 8 year old truck. Around here most 98's have 150-200k on them.

Watch for the #53 block in that year, other than that, nice grab!

The VP44 has not been replaced yet according to the previous owner. I had a fuel pressure check done on the truck and it checked out just fine according to the mechanic.

I have put about 500 miles on the truck this weekend and it is great. Even in 11000 ft passes in Colorado it does just fine (no load). I don't even need to shift out of 5th.

After Christmas sometime I am going to put a set of guages on the truck. Probably Autometers in a 3 gauge pod. Pyro, fuel PSI, and boost. I don't have any mods and probably won't for awhile but I might as well get the gauges out of the way.
