whats goin on fellow powerstrokers, ive posted this question on superdutydiesel forums before, but it was never answered maybe you all can help.on my truck ive got 3.55 gears, now ive added 35in tires.how much will this effect my towing, power, mileage.for example,if im towing 5k with stock tires, and i switch to 35's,how much weight would that be like adding to the stock setup, for instance instead of 5k it would feel like 7k because of the tire change, anybody get what i mean, thanks all info welcomewaytogo

Welcome, any time you make the switch to larger tires it will affect power/mileage etc in a negative way. Not sure how much of an effect but I would think you would notice with 3.55's.

I have 4.10's on my rig and didn't notice any power loss when I went from 265's to 315's (35") but probably would if I had 3.55's.

i wish i had 4.10 gears, but it doesnt seem like it would make that much of a difference, because with this setup,2k in od feels like 10 k,i could barely accelerat on the highway with 2k in od,1st thru 4th didnt feel like anything was there,5th was a turtle
