So I had the motor replaced in my truck (instead of trying to repair the crack). The new motor is a 2002 so it is not another 53 block. The motor is super clean and seems to be in really good condition.

So, instead of taking my cracked 53 Cummins to a wrecking yard, Jason at Diesel Nut Motorsports offered to take it off my hands in exchange for a sweet discount on some performance stuff. So, obviously, I made the trip up to Sacramento on Saturday and let Jason and Billy bust it out on my truck.

They installed a BD Super B turbo and 75hp DDP injectors... all I can say is... burnout

Thanks again as always to Jason at Diesel Nut Motorsports for an awesome job on the install as well as the best prices around waytogo.

I will try to get some pics up soon...

    75hp injectors + BD Super B single = instaspool!waytogo

The combo spools great and should not affect mileage much once the newness wears off and you drive normal again. BD has some awesome turbos!

Thanks for making the trip up Ben. Glad to finally meet ya!

I love your reg cab! CLean truck.waytogo

I'm not sure which one helps more... since I only have experience with doing both mods at the same time.

My best advice would be to just save up a bit longer and do both at the same time... you won't regret it.

Insta-spool is right... and my 35 psi boost gauge doesnt go up high enough to read the max boost haha.

No problem man thanks for fitting me into the schedule... my next trip up will probably be with Tyler's powerstroke waytogo
