Is the new 6.7 Cummins in 07 just a larger displacement to compensate for the 07 emissions? Whats the skinny?

where you hear about this new motor? haven't really talked to my Cummins expert in a few weeks(he even failed to mention to me that he installed his twin turbos on his 05 this weekend), but he never mentioend a 6.7L. He was only expecting an EGR system, slight detune, and PCV setup to meet 07 emissions. That was just a guess though.

I just heard some 2nd hand rumours on DTR from a DC sales manager that came back from a Corperate management meeting that said the 6.7 CTD was a go for 07 and that a brand new Aisin 6 spd auto will be the option the G56 6 spd stick. No power #'s were confirmed but they are expected to be crazy as was the need to step up to a much stronger auto tranny.....rumours are to expect torque to be in the low 700 ft/lb range. Yeehaw!!! The by-product of that is going to be some rather high hp #'s too!! DC will certainly have to do something to stay ahead of GM after they have announced the impressive new version of the Dmax with 360hp/ 650 ft/lbs and the 6 spd Ally. Yikes!! This power race doesn't seem to be anywhere near over!:D

Also, 07 will mark the return (finally) of a 3500 cab and chassis with 2 WB lengths which apparently will NOT have the Megacab option.
