ok so my brothers dually has LED clearance lights, and side markers. most of the time the orange marker lights never work or one works but the other doesnt. a guy at the dodge dealership said that its because the LEDs need more power and the TIPM wont allow it thats y they work only some of the time. he also said that the LEDs will generally trip the TIPM. any feedback as to the truth of this??? so far my experiences have not been good with this TIPM thing. even on my truck ive fried one with a faulty 7 way on a trailer. thanks.
i had HIDs in my headlights and fog lights LED cab 3rd brake and taillights and it fired my tipm and ecm... left me stranded in amarillo, tx 9 hr from home... the guy at tx dodge in amarillo said the same thing u were told... my truck would run but no electronics would work... so 1000$ and a week later i had a new ecm and tipm and was back on my way. lol today i run HIDs in head and fog lights and only LED cab lights and havent had a prob ...
