Ok guys, lets see pics of your wheel/tire combo's along with what size, make, back space etc.. waytogo
16.5x9.75" Weld Racing Super Single Scorpio V's, 4.5" back spacing IIRC. I've got the standard set of Weld Hex caps but am dying to get a set of Conehead caps on that belong there. 33x12.50 Cooper Discoverer LT's 16x8 Weld Racing Super Single Typhoons, 4.5" BS IIRC... Conehead caps!!! 265/70R/16 Michelin LTX M/S, donated from my Dodge.
Toyo MTs SWEET off road, fairly quiet on road and good road manners (and supposedly wear---I've got 1500 miles on mine, can't comment yet--even Swampers last that long)
here's my Dmax's set up 305/55 20 nitto terra grapplers on ice metal 889s not sure of the backspacing but they are 9 inch wide rims.
I say BFG Rugged Trail or BFG Commercial Off Road,if I had a DRW,I have the BFG Rugged Trails on my SD and love em I will look for a more aggressive off road tire maybe the Nittio Mud Grapplers since they come in E loads and looked great on the Off Road Mag's project Power Wagon.
moto metal 951 black, 16x9 goodyear wrangler silent armor 265/75/16 sorry about the hand, my cam sucks and I had to block the snow glare.
Tires! I come from the land of the ice and snow, I know they don't look as cool as the big ones, but I swear by BFG A/T 235-85-16's LRE. A little tall and narrow but work great in the slush. They seem to be siped better than the 265-75-16's.
I have the stock 2500HD alluminum rims with 265/75/R16 Hercules Terra Trac A/W's. Best tire out there for the price.
19.5s - made for long hauls & heavy loads 19.5" Wheels & Tires from Rickson Truck Wheels Seen here on my truck: 245/70R19.5 Tires -- have 4,500 Lbs. Weight Capacity. Wheels have a 5,000 Lbs. Weight Rating. Direct replacement -- use factory centers and lugs. Truly Made In the U.S.A. (Hunt Valley, MD) (avoid cheap imports!)
Looks good but how much do the tires stick out in the back?? Looks like a far amount but that might just be the angle of the pic. Myselve I have the stock 265's and stock steel 16X7 wheels. I would like to get a set of MOTO METAL 951's in a 18X9
Brentz Wheels, "Big Classic" with 265-70-19.5 cheepo tires (i was broke at the time, Brent worked with me) the ackspacing is about .5 inches out further than stock, BUT the truck rides MUCH better than it did with tat little bot more track width front and rear. Grant
Got my new wheels on. <a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e230/strictlyv8/l_5015708ea766012741cd019d67f56888.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting"></a>
