A company I volunteer with is looking for something similiar to http://www.bigtextrailers.com/spec/10oa.html 10000GVWR, 16-20 ft x 102" deck. 2 5/16" bumperpull If anyone has any leads on one in CA let me know. Also we're going to have something similiar to http://www.bigtextrailers.com/spec/70ch.html except made by lonestar trailers for sale in May. 7000GVWR, 18+2dovetail. 2" bumperpull In short we bought the wrong trailer. Anybody have what I want or want what I have?
I bought a Carson 18' 7K trailer about 6 months ago and really like it. I have used it to tow my offroad truck around several times (3K miles) and my buddy has probably used it 5 times for his offroad truck and it is doing good sofar. I wish I could have afforded a 10K trailer but at the time I bought it I didn't have the money so I settled for a 7K. In the next few years I will be buying a 10-14K 20-22ft lowdeck gooseneck and will give Carson my first look. I believe that Carson has a few dealers throughout CA. I know I saw one in the Redlands area. Harley
When pricing trailer there are a few things to consider. Used: Usually need at least 2 tires and 1 headlight. Probably has never had the bearings checked. Deck is rotted or rusted and the story of how it was used is completely false. New: At current prices go for about $200 more than the same thing used ('cept goosenecks). Your choice on a lot of things. Story of its life is true (built and parked). I have been looking to get an 18 foot car hauler like hoss for a few months but the used are the same $$ as new. (BTW his trailer is in my backyard and I have put the "first dents" in it)
for the most part... i have had offers for more than what i paid for mine as the steel price has gone way up and i got a great deal on it. nto for sale though!! just the truck... lol grant
I don't keep up on goosenecks that much. I knew they held value well. Heck all used trailers cost too much. My dad couldn't find a used 5x8 utility for his polaris ranger for under a grand (apparently a title is a lot to ask for with a used trailer).
How soon do you need one? I'm a distributor for a manufacturer out of Oklahoma. Feel free to contact me, you have a PM.
trailers Hello About 4 yrs ago I went to frank's trailers out of Oklahoma City, OK and bought a new 18' + 2' tail 14K and pintle hook for under $2k. I have had to replace 1 tire and added some lights and d rings. I can look up the guys phone # if you want. The brand is TexMex. Other than the stake pockets leaving something do be desired, I have had no real problems with it. And trust me its been used hard, almost to the point of abuse.
we got shot down for now. Thanks for the info so far. big ram, I'll give you a call when we get funding again.
