Well went up to Poteau, OK this weekend from Ft.Worth, Texas. Had the rig loaded up with thw Bug and my K5 Truggy. We made it into OK and at the firt Truck stop on 75/69 , The Chactaw Gambling place, my clutch came apart.

We unloaded the rigs and pulled the dually and trailer over to the fuel stop. It was Thursday night at aroun 11:30. After a ton on discussion I decided to contact a freind that was leaving from Dallas the next day and ask him to try and fine me a clutch and we would tear it down on the side of the rade and replace it. He agreed!!!
We waited til the morning and a confirmation that he would be able to find the clutch till we tore it down.
He called and said he was headed our way and we took her apart. As it turned out the spring pack insdie of the clutch cme apart. The flywheel was fine. We replaced it all using straps and a bottle jack a scissor jack and lots of grunting!!!!

When Jay showd up with the new clutch , and a great floor jack!!!! we got ir treplaced, made it to the big meat run a day late!!!

    What a weekend!!

Man, good work for being on the side of the road waytogo Glad you got her slapped back together. What clutch did you replace it with? That spring popping out is a real common problem with those Ford clutches.

Ya know, I don't know the brand of the clutch??? I just know I was happy to see it!! It wasn,t from the Ford house. It was aftermarket.

Considering that my truck was used to haul a 39,000lb trailer from West Virginia to Ft Worth, i figured the clutch would soon be gone!!

I was lucky enough to have some really good freinds around to help with, and do most of this project!!!
