I have a new 5.7 in 2500 4x4. I put edge with attitude in it as soon as I got it. It has 6000 miles on it now and I am laying into it a little more now. I was wondering what I should set the max boost and egt at. I will be adding cold air intake pretty soon will this change max settings. I noticed the 99 with edge makes less boost so egt is not as high but max is set at 1250. My 2007 makes a lot more boost stock and was wondering if max should be higher.

On the 07 you should be keeping the boost below 40. 38 is about the sweet spot. Now, on EGTs, the limit is 1400. I would think you should set the limit at 1350 and enjoy. Also, set your boost limiter at 36-37 psi. The edge will pull out power to keep the boost in the right spot. Unfortunately, you will lose power there. There is a better way. I have a new wastegate controller we are building right now. . . . . .

Thanks I have had the boost at 42 and the exhaust at 1250. I was going on exhaust temp from an older model. The boost I just took a guess at going off of the stock truck making 38 with the box off. I will make adjustments today. I dont ever see the limits much besides passing a car with my boat in tow. I just want to know they are set when I do hit it. I hope the cold air intake will help with the egt.
