Last year on November 12th I picked up my Duramximp: 35K miles later Still Running Strong waytogo I haven't done a damn thing to this rig except change fluids (replaced shocks & hitch but that is it) and drive it So now that I have 35K on it should I just do mantinace to the rig per the dealership's recomendation or are there additional steps I should take to help my rig last and stay strong? Is there such a thing as a "performace tune-up" for diesels? Thanks for your opinions Burt
Congrats, I remember when you were going to get it. You were very excited.waytogo I don't really know of a "performance" tune up. Diesels don't need tune ups.imp: Well, the valves are supposed to be adjusted every once and a while, although the Dmax may be designed differently and doesn't require this. opcorn: A few years back when I used to work with a diesel "genious" he used to tell me that he didn't like messing with gassers because they were complicated and prefered the simplicity of a mechanical diesel, and I looked at him silly. After I learned more about diesels I relized what he meant.rotfl
