My Mods

All of the mods in my signature are things that i want to do but havnt done yet. Theres also other things i want to do like gears and lights and other off road equipment. What order should i do my mods in?

Here is the order i was kinda thinkin:

Lift and Tires
Bumbers with winch
Stereo
Gears
Light engine stuff
And Etc...

 

the engine first and foremost so that you have the schnutz to push those big tires. dont forget the pics as you do this waytogo

bumBers and a winch should be laest of your worries....do lift tires and gearing at once then engine cause the gears will help get engine power back from turning the bigger tires. then do some engine stuff and then stereo and then acc. my .02waytogo

 

ok BUT what if i get stuck??? that is one thing that i should worry about.

 

Rule #1...never wheel alone. If your buddys are wheelin with you and they wont help you get out then they are not your friends and deserve an ass beating. A tow strap, Hi-lift jack, and come along are alot cheaper then a $500 bumper and $1000 winch

 

ok i was thinking the same thing but not alot of my friends have off-road machines and do any offroading. SO, therefore idk what to do

 

Get the HI Lift Jack and some basic recovery gear i.e tow straps and decent tow hooks. Then go get a decent set of hand tools I use Craftsman myself with a good count in them I would go for the set with around 260ish and the plastic tool box thats included and a Chilton and Haynes manuals.

 

Ya i basically got that covered. Just kinda depending on time and money, im either doing my stereo or my lift and tires first. Only prob with doing the lift and tires is that i result in doing more stuff after that so i can use the lift and tires. I DEFINETLY need to get a bumper with a winch on the front because there isnt even tow hooks on the front of my jeep....and if you try and hook it to the bumper, it will just rip that **** off. I also found out that in a result of getting the lift i want, i HAVE to do 2 different axle upgrades and a driveshaft upgrade, AND i have to build a custom cat-back exhuast to go around the long-arm-travel suspension. Either way it all results in ALOT of money and work

for now only wheel as far back as a 2wd can go with you so you can use them as an ankor if needed

 

Purple Hornies of a Muffler I got my 50 Series Flowmaster today from Summit and cant wait to get er hooked up or well welded on. I recoment the 50 Series from Flowmaster a Purple will give you a headace on a long trail ride and if you do hunting the critters will hear ya and get spooked.

 

Another thing that i also decided to do to save money was this:

I was originally gonna do these aftermarket lights on my jeep: Cost about $300





Instead of doing those, im going to save $250 and just black out my headlights and my taillights which is legal here and looks pretty nice too.

just remember this it is your daily driver so dont do rediculous lifts and crap make it all practical. a jeep with a mediocur lift and 33's or if you can fit 35's will go very very far. im getting an 85 yota straight axle w/ 35's and a locker soon so if you ever do get this stuff done we'll go wheelin.

So just imagine how cool this is gonna look after my first few mods; Black Wheels, Black Bumpers, Blacked out lights, Dark Tint, Dark Window Shades. This thing is gonna look pretty sweet. Cant wait to get some of this stuff done.

 

love the bottom half of the bumper but dislike the upper tubing. I think they could have made them better contoured for the jeep

 

O im not doing the extra tubing. The extra tubing is an option and adds $150 to the price. Dont want it. Just want the bottom part with the winch mount, tow hook mounts, and the built in lights. Cost about $600
