About a year ago I bought a 05 Ram 2500 4x4 with the legendary 5.9 Cummins for $28K, it had 6000 Miles on it. As I browsed my local dodge dealers website 2 weeks ago I stumbled over a "Lone Star Edition" liquidation offer...13K off of msrp on all Lone Star Edition Trucks. Needles to say I stopped by there to check out what they had. They gave me $25.000 for my '05 Ram which had already close to 30.000 miles on it. On the Dodge Ram 3500 DRW 4X4 they gave me the promised $13000 rebate. So I drove out of there with my new Rig for $35K...I'm a happy camper!

So you like the new 6.7? ive been hearing about alot of people not liking them...I also have an 05, and am really gettin ready to trade, im really hating that thing, its fallin apart so fast!
I love it. Other then the 2 problems i had with it (which is really the dealerships fault) it is a great truck. This are the problems i had: DPF was clogged at 500 miles - If the dealership would have done the update on the computer before they gave me the truck this problem would have been nonexistend. Transmission was shifting really rough, especially from 2. > 1. gear and every gear when the tow/haul mode was activated - If the dealership would have done update on the transmission controller before they gave me the truck this problem would have been nonexistend. If you get one of the new 6.7's make sure you get ALL available updates for the engine and transmission before you take the new truck home, It will save you alot of time later on. .
what is falling apart? I didn't have any trouble with my 05 other then that i really didn't like the transmission, the velour seats and the ride.
A black vehicle in Texas is not a good idea. I see a lot of them but mine is white for a reason...well several reasons not least of which is I can actually touch mine in the sun.
yea sure it gets hot inside my black trucks but i'm willing to take the heat for 5 minutes till the ac cooled it down. i see the benefits of white & silver but there's nothing like a black truck
Lone Star ThunderRoad Big Horn Early on you could only buy certain packages in certain areas of the country.. Like ThunderRoad in the East Big Horn in the West Lone Star in the Middle. Now I think you can order them about anywhere.
