I have an 03 GMC 2500 hd and last night the brake lights wouldn't turn off. They stay lit like I am in the cab pressing the pedal. Any ideas on what the problem might be?

    Thanks

there usually is a sensor connected to the brake pedal that tell the lights when to go on or when to stay off that might be the problem I have had one go bad on my Bronco and experinced the opposite problem its was cheap under twenty bucks to fix.

just check the wires and look for wear or exposed wires around the sensor and wiring harness check the conection and make sure they are all tight if I'm thinking right that should fix it.
