I'm in the market for a new used truck. I like the 96-97 f350's but hate the long bed. Cant find any with a short bed except the 250's which I guess would be ok, I just dont really want another ttb axle. Should I look into the 96-97's or should I be looking for a superduty 99 to 03. All should have a 7.3. I would like to get at a minimum of 18mpg on highway. Oh the main concern in buying is money. I dont want to spend to much. I would like to stay around 15,000 or less. Preferably less. Are these trucks dependable motor wise? Thanks. I'll take any comments you got except for calling me cheap. I already know that LOL. I'm disabled with not alot of cash. I posted this on FTE incase you've seen it already. Thanks Todd. Oh yeah I've been reading your guys stuff since this website opened, I just never joined until today. I'm a retardrotfl

    I picked up my 96 F250 4x4 for $8500

i found quite a few 99-01 superduties for under 15k, but they had some miles on them.

never had a longbed myself but now that i've driven it for about 2 weeks its not soo bad, as for the TTB its not my wheeler so its not a big concern for me.

I think you will be able to find a 99-01 you like for under 15k if you want to spend that much. If not then you might be stuck living with the TTB F250. i think it will still be a good truck for you pending on what you are gonna be using it for

Yeah, an f250 will be fine. I just wanted to exhaust my search for a good 350 first. Keep your eyes open for a good one for me. Thanks Todd. I'll take a 250 or 350. It just has to be a crew cab cause I have 5 kids.
