well, if the baseunit weighs 8000lbs... and not too many people buy JUST a base unit alone... then you want a trailer rated for 10k. not hard to find at all.

BUT, people tend to purchase a couple extra attachments for them, and want to be able to pull a yard or two of material with them... so now it gets fun.

one option that i would do it if was me looking at picking up a skid is a hydraulic dump trailer in goose neck form to allow you to go off pavement easier. the trailer would have 2 12k axles, high sides for a load of gravel/dirt/whatever and then be able to drive the skid into the trailer.

length would be about 25 feet. only issue with the 12k axles is they tend to only build dump trailers in deck over form this way. i LOVE overkill and that is a problem that can be dealt with. another option would be 2 7k axles but wouldnt give you much payload for material and skid.

If you are needing to haul the skid loader then I would also suggest getting a big tex or a P&J trailer. Both companies make a trailer that will hold the loader and has a hydraulic dump. The trailer has two or three foot side walls, ramps, and a tail gate that is hinged both on the top (like a dump truck) or on the sides (like van doors). Hope this helps you. Something like this http://www.bigtextrailers.com/dumps.html or like this http://www.pjtrailers.com/detail.cfm?ID=DD or this http://www.pjtrailers.com/detail.cfm?ID=D7

I'm in the landscape/skid steer business and when i started i got a dump trailer that i could load my bobcat on. in hindsight i should have got a gooseneck equiment hauler instead. as a matter of fact i'll be buying a gooseneck as soon as i can.
the dump trailer is not big enough to haul extra attachments and even if it was you can't load them on because of the sides,it's also a pain to chain your machine down because you have to squeeze yourself between the machine and the sides.you will not be happy if you move your machine alot.
also if you plan on hauling alot of dirt the dump trailer won't haul much.they are more for light loads like trash and yard debris.
but if you really want to go the dump trailer route i know where you can get one cheap;).
