New guy here, my name is Jeremy. I am thinking about getting a Duramax or Cummins with the intention of hauling vehicles and other cargo. I haven't been able to find much in the way of hard facts with regards to CNG and towing economy. I know the extra power would be great but I wouldn't really be interested in paying $5,000-$10,000 for a CNG setup unless it provides much better fuel economy. I read about the Natruell equipped Duramax getting 35-45 mpg but I haven't seen what that figure would drop to with 14,000 lbs behind the truck. I guess what I am asking here is what is the best option between the Duramax and Cummins for CNG? I assume that a CNG system would automatically void any warranty, any info on this? Also if anyone has tips or info on the transport industry I would be all ears since I am thinking about completely changing my career, after I part ways with the Army. Thanks for any info or links.
