Has anyone seen the "Off-Road Alloy step bars" that are on a white Dodge in this months (May 2008) Diesel Power, page 46-47? Not sure I like them yet but have never seen them before.
that would probably be a better question for the other forum. Seems like this forum is no longer for tow rigs, but just plain ol' trucks.
Umm no, the product in question can be bolted to a ford, dodge or gm tow rig and this is the general forum.
Well, I have a 4X4 Truck, and have never needed nerf bars to tow anything with, unless you are really short or old, in which case I would suggest a step that actually serves a valid purpose other than to put a step 4 inches below your door. I bet those nerf bars were chrome huh? :stir:
I have a 7 year old son who is shorter than I am, as far as the chrome I guess you haven't seen my truck, I have no chrome, in fact I removed the chrome "3500" and "C" from the sides and all the stupid chrome text from the tailgate which I'm sure is still on your truck.
What's with all the hostility in this thread. Seems like Dogderep likes to do a bit of bashing lately.
No I am not bashing, I guess alot of people take it that way, and yes there are a few chrome badges on my truck... I have not found any black ones to replace them yet. I do get a bit frustrated that tow rig is anything but towing and work trucks. I thought that was why we had cumminsforum.com. I guess I can either leart to live with it or just stop visiting the site. I am interested in real tow rigs, I have hauled as much as 47K with my truck, and pull 18 wheelers from time to around the yards. I just wanted more topic specific threads. I am interested in what working trucks are doing to achieve the mileage, weight capacities and longevity that are required of them. I am interested in FMCSA topics and what other small businesses are doing to assure that they can keep working and keep their employees working. I really meant no offense, I like to barb the little trucks (that is a joke) from time to time, but I love all these trucks, please take no offense.
