I am in the beginning stages of building a offroad or camping trailer. it is a chevy frame with HD 3/4 ton suburban springs (52"), 78 chevy stepside bed with a diamond plate floor and custom built fenders, will hold 2 gas cans and 2 water cans on the fender steps or any combination of 4 five gallon cans. it will be lifted the same height as my jeep and running a 14BFF axle same as the jeep for spare parts. probably using a pintle hook instead of tow ball.

anyone else have a camping/hunting/offroad trailer?

I've got an old 1/2 ton 1960's ford ranger (full size) bed/trailer. Its camo'd and sitting on a set of BFG AT's, forget the size. Sits up pretty good for a 1/2 ton. Got a pressure treated wood floor in it. Running the stock/factory lights.

Are you building it as a trailer or more as an RV/sleeping quarters?
