Well let me start by saying, what an honor it is to have the icon of towrig.com, the one and only RJF Cummins, respond to my previous post "to buy or not to but?" Thanks So, my next question: I understand that the juice/attitude will give me my fuel pressure but I am thinking that I may go ahead and replace the fuel pump as soon as I buy this truck. Questions that I hope to have answered: - Where is the best place to buy a fuel pump? - Is the juice/attitude fuel sensor adequate or do I need a stand alone fuel pressure sensor? - I have read that people say that it is relatively simple to install juice with attitude. However, is this hold true for someone who has little mechanic experience? - Is it also true that I should BHAF and exhaust on before I put the juice with attitude? Overall, patience guys I am as new as they come. Thanks
I've only had my juice with attitude and other mods for a month.Yes the sending unit with the module is very adequate.I replaced my lift pump, this past Thursday.Didnt get the Fass,to expensive right now.Just went to NAPA and got another stock one.It helped alot, but didnt cure the problem, when its on level 3 or 4.So there will be a Fass in my future.
I have really enjoyed my Juice Attitude combo, infact I am wanting to upgrade to the A2 monitor eventually. When the Juice came out many people were really concerned about how accurate their guages would be with this system. Many guys actually installed the J/A when they already had an A-pillar packed with guages and found the Attitude spot on with Autometer guaging. The J/A is fairly strait forward to install, it's been close to two years since I installed mine, but if I remember the back MAP plug is tuff to get to and drilling and taping the exhaust manifold can be intimidating to a begining mechanic. It's not hard, but you can't mess up or you'll be buying a new exhaust manifold. If you buy the unit, post up with any more questions that you have with the install as you go along. The best place to buy ALL your stuff will be our very own Diesel Nut Motorsports. He's got rock bottom of the industry prices and he knows what you need, and don't need. Shoot him a PM for some prices.
Thanks Bobby! As posted, the Edge is a great all inclusive chip. As for the lift pump, I am very happy with FASS. Spendy, yes, but you get what you pay for. 6 year warranty and dependable units, they just flat out work! For the exhaust we have a new line of budget kits available that will destroy the pricing on the brand name ones, and is a great quality kit. Intake - BHAF will work fine. All of this the average shade tree mechanic can do. The Edge is simple. Hardest part is drilling and tapping the exhaust manifold.
Ill second for Diesel nut, great prices and good customer service. I bought my FASS from him and plan to buy all my other performance parts from him as wellimp:
