I noticed there are a lot of guys taking there 3rd gen trucks in for certain recall fixes. Things like the not in park alarm and the door seals being ripped apart by the front doors. I was wondering if everyone could post some of the things that are a known problem and what they did when they took them into the dealer. I am tired of taking my truck in and want everything fixed at once! So far I have had it in for: Squeeling HVAC fan, electric windows on pass side inop, drivers leather seat clasp broken, and recent park recall thingy. Post what ya gotopcorn:
Mine aren't recalls but they are TSB's. So basically a recall I have to pay for 18-043-03 - Low A/C output at idle 08-004-03 - Intermittent False Indicator Lights Someday I'll have time to actually go in and have them done.
All seperate visits to the dealership, NOT recalls. 1. Lift pump and A/C 2. A/C 3.trans problems, 2nd gear take off 4. A/C 5. new trans 6. A/C 7. New valve body 7. We will see what tommorrow brings with yet another case of 2nd gear take offs.
One thing I have noticed on mine is when I turn on the A/C it makes a loud ass noise under the hood like it is purging or something??? This only happens after initial startup and A/C is turned on......it does not blow that cold either
It's the pump clutch kicking on, and is especially noisy the first time when it's cold. Why this is, I have no idea.
my a/c doesn't go that cold unless i am driving on the freeway... i think that is because of the a/c condenser thing mounted up in front of the radiator. and i have brought my truck in a couple of times because of the check engine light coming on but i think that is just because of the chip and is nothing serious (usually goes out by itself within a few days). oh and the back of the driver seat is loose haha.
they brought mine in and fixed all the problems. they removed the engine, installed it into a ford and all those pesky problems went away.
Mine went in for some fuel tank water intrusion issue (recall), and check engine light, wound up being a false indication for the fuel rail pressure sensor.
