I have an 05 cummins. A friend just got an 04 cummins. We started looking at it and I noticed a box mounted to the front of the engine on the top in front of the intake horn. This box is not mounted on the 05 model. I didn't have the time to get into figuring out what it is and I knew with all the cummins nuts we have here I could get an explanition
It's the accelerator pedal position sensor. SO motors were mounted on the engine where you saw it, HO motors had it mounted somewhere else, over by the fuse box I think but not sure... My SO has it on the engine.
