I have a 2004.5 dodge with an airaid, 5" exhaust & a bully dog with outlook monitor. I was wanting a little more whistle out of the turbo & was wondering if it would hurt taking out the air silencer ring fom the turbo. I was wondering if it would effect the airflow or even if it would do any good at all.

Go ahead and take out the silencer ring you will like the new sound. The ring is only for noise no air flow effect.

Yup. No performance gain, but will sound good. Dodge is the only application of these turbos that have a silencer ring. Part of Dodge's NVH suppression.
