Does anyone know if the Ram 2500 has the same frame as the 3500 except for the absence of the helper spring pads? The springs are obviously different but wheels, tires and brakes seem to be identical. So I'm curious about the frame itself. From a cost-of-development point of view I would expect them to be.

Yes,The frames are the same,Liked you said the only difference is the added leaf spring and frame mounted over load perches.I know this to be true, because when I ordered my truck from the dealer I was able to pick the brain of the shop foreman who had gone to all related training. That and I also worked @ the dealer a couple of years ago, when the ram 3500 srw was released.I could have had a 3500 for additional 500 bucks.choose not to go that route.Hope this helps

I know it just a play on words but you really don't have a 1 ton till you have a dually.

Do you have a factory sway bar on your dually? Is it on the front side or back side of the diff? I just checked my Dad's 04 3500 SRW and it doesn't have one.

No DC trucks after 04.5 have sway bars.

I was referring to 3rd. gens. I have not seen a 4500/5500 yet.
