I am using the TV only to tow a 5w GVWR 11865 and Hitch 1705 and do some side trips with out the trailer.
I am planning to upgrade my sig truck for a Ram 3500, 3rd generation,diesel,auto,QC,L/B,SRW, but not sure which model or which ratio to go for and I need some advise on that.
6.7L comes with 6 speed auto tranny and 5.9 with 4 speed , what is the effect on towing?
From which year Ram comes with Tow/Haul mode?
    Thanks.

i would opt for the 6.7L as it does have more power, and from what i READ a transmission that is better set up to tow.

i would go with 3.73's if you plan on leaving the tires stock, and 4.10's if you plan on going larger. exhaust brake would be availible on anything 2005? and newer, and i would opt for it as i LOVE mine. it isnt as much needed with the 6 speed auto.

Acutualy the exaust brake come standard on all 6.7L as it is part of the turbo. and you can get them from dodge for most years of trucks, just the older ones have to be a manual.
