i have a 2000 f350 extended cab 4x4 dually. recently i am experiencing a random vibration. seems to be coming from the front axle area. it happens randomly but seems to start when i hit a bump. more info, the front tires are being worn from the vibration. the tires are wearing on both sides of each tire. the steering damper was gone when i bought the truck a year ago. i haven't changed anything with the suspension. everything is stock. does anybody have any ideas.

    frontend problems.

Say I have the same truck that youhve and I ended replacing the ball joints and the right front hub. It was bad. After this it feels like a new truck. And by the way the truck has 166,000 miles on it and still running strong. And in fact it has the orginal trany in it, but with the external trany filter and also has the dieselsite water filter setup. So I think this is a big reason why its running as good as it is. But back to your problem I think you have the same thing I had so I would check the ball joints first and then go to the hubs.

Let me know what you find out.

check the sway bar for any play. Had my sway bar bushings go and when I hit a bump it caused a vibration in the front end. Easy fix to, put in poly bushings when I replaced them.

Also check for proper torque setting on the front end.
