Has anyone ever heard anything like this? Some trucks have some sort of gizmo installed that restrains or limits the amount of compression that can be accomplished when a truck is loaded, say, by hitching a trailer to it. Somewhere, way, way back in the darkest parts of my mind I seem to recall having read something vaguely like that, when I was reading about the difficulties some people have, when they install a weight distributing hitch and they can't manage to transfer enough trailer weight to the front of their truck. They can't get the compression or "squat" in the front end that they're supposed to achieve with the WD hitch, and the reason is the presence of some sort of limitation on the amount of squat that would ever be possible under any circumstances.
Does this ring ANY bells at all with anyone?

Are you saying that even with your WD hitch your frontend is still facing the sky?
