Saw this on the road today-

    Thought this was pretty cool, so I snapped a picture-

    What does a backhoe like that weigh? How much do ya'all thinks he's towing? 15k? 20k?

    The trailer looks like it wieghs about 5000 lbs by itself

    That doesn't look too bad actually... but yeah, backhoes get heavy in a hurry...

    That backhoe weighs somewhere in the neighborhood of 15K, my backhoe weighs 14K IIRC.

    that trailer weighs probably more than 5K, I would assume. He is way over GCWR, but lots of guys do it.

    I have a 210c deere that I haul all the time with my 3/4 ton. I weighs about 13,000 and my truck and 32' trailer weigh 14,500 empty. Looks like he's pulling about 20' trailer

    not bad. 13b hoe we have on a similar trailer weighs in at about 24-25k. pulled it with a powerstroke and a cummins. was a pickup truck destroyer though.
    got smart, and now usually pull it with a 2 ton or a tandem.

    Yeah, I know what you mean. I love to get a single axle international truck one day.

    Thats a pretty good pic, Looks like a pretty impressive load. Wonder if that trucks a auto or stick, prolly a stick.
