What kind of stock height shocks would you recomend for my 3/4 ton 98 Suburban, nothing to fancy as it will make way for a new Diesel next year.

    Monroe SUV Reflex shocks.

I got them for my Van and they made a huge difference in handling while towing, and driving in reall windy conditions.
They're specifically valved to work with vehicles that have a higher center of gravity and they really work well.
A bit more pricey than Ranchos but worth every penny in my book.

Bilsteins are nice but pricy. Since you plan on seling and going with a diesel I would probably pick up a set of Gabriels for it.:)
