i have a 2005 cummins with 3:73 gears and an auto. we stop and start the truck approximately 12-15 times a day. we never really get the truck warm as the trips are at most fifteen minutes. what should i expect for mileage while towing about 5000 pounds in these conditions? we are getting about 10.5 mpg and are just wondering if that is how it is or do we have mechanical issues.

sounds about right... need to get the motor warmed up and get some longer highway trips to see better mileage.

my 05 cummins auto averaged about 16.5 empty with a mix of city and highway driving.
