with a smarty do you have to adjust the wastegate settings. Also witch one is better the CR or the VP do you need anything else when you buy the programer I was also thinking about a tst pmcr
Well, if you are looking at a TSPMCR, then you have a CR motor, and the VP smarty won't work on it. What year truck, fill out your signature so we know what you have and can help you a little more in depth.
???? what is a CR Motor? I drive an 07 Ram 5.9 2500 with a drop in k&n and a aero turbine other than that its stock
CR = Common Rail fuel injection, which your truck has. VP is on the older 2nd gen trucks, yours is a third generation. Depending on what you want to do with your truck, tow, hot rod or both depends. I highly suggest some gauges first. Auto trans or manual, Either way it won't take much before you have to make trans upgrades. Its a slippery slope once you start the mods, and the power is addictive.
Ok, 07 5.9 - Use the Smarty S06. The PMCR is not available for your truck. Anything built after 6/06 it will not work on right now. GAUGES!!! Must get gauges. Auto/manual? Auto - keep it under 100hp over stock. I think the 90hp with timing is about the max for you there. G56 Manual - The dual mass flywheel is your weak link here. You could get lucky and just slip the clutch, but several people have had problems with the flexplate just breaking.
smarty When will a PMCR be available for my truck. I kind of like that option because it has a egt probe and offer lots of power and grows with upgrades. Any suggestions for gauges and shop to install them Or can i install them my self. Also looking for shop in the denver metro area to do tranny upgrades (auto) besides ATS (treated me poorly and too expensive)
