So how much difference is there between these two boxes? Obviously the only difference takes place on level 5, but can you really tell a huge difference?

I am interested in getting the Hot Juice code for my Juice and am wondering if it's worth it. Also, under full throttle I'd like to get the TC to lock a little sooner, since it doesn't until about 3100RPM's on level 5. Would the full fueling make it lock quicker?

I *believe* the only difference is the Drag Comp fuels up to 3200/3500 rpm...............

Yes, 3200 RPM's. My question was how big of a difference you could feel between the Comp that defuels at 2700 and the Drag that fuels to 3200.

The hot file definitely make a big difference you can feel in the top end, you will have to watch the EGT's closely, they can run pretty hot in that setting.

Sounds like you are going to hae to turbo up soon!
As for the lock up, Suncoast has a new lock up controller they just released that gives you total control of lock up in all 4 gears if memory serves me correctly. Check it out here.

I could be still interested in a certain turbo that is used.

I called Suncoast the other day when I sent my VB core to them and talked about their new controller. I am wondering how much I would benifet from setting the converter to lock in 2nd instead of 3rd.

The Suncoast controller unlocks based on vehicle speed so if you set it up to work to the lowest speed in second you will shudder your lockup clutch in third and OD. So what they do is recommend you do is set it no lower than 28 MPH. At 28 MPH if you don't take it out of OD it will shudder on stops and in second gear you will unlock far too soon.

The Towloc works off of RPM rather than speed, it holds lockup to 17MPH on my truck and unlocks before shudder in every gear.
