Sterling Trucks has released a Artist Concenption of what everyone thinks is their version of the Dodge 4500/5500. Lets hope its true since Dodge does not intend on offering their version with a truck body.

Is it just the grill that is different? Pretty cool though.

I'm not sure if Ford owns Sterling anymore or not. I thought they were getting out of the "Big truck" market.

Looks like they are owned by Freightliner. What engines come in the Sterling? Is it a Detroit or does Sterling make their own engines? Mercedes maybe?

Wonder how many Sterling grilles will end up on 1500-3500 Rams?

Those 'Mercedes' engines are just O'le re-vamped Detroit 60 Series.

What I'd like to see is REAL Cummins software and not the Dodge garbage. Cummins spends $$$$ to make the software WORK and Dodge just seems to goof it up, IMHO.

:confused:where did you get this information from? mercedes has been in the diesel market much longer than Detroit and the new engines dont even look like a revamped detroit.

Sterling was sold to Freightliner so is now a part of Daimler. You name the engine and you can probably get it - MBE, Cummins, Cat, Detroit.
