Anyone have any more info on the auto tranny for 06, I heard that starting in 06 an exhaust brake will no longer void your warenty. Will it still be a 4 speed auto or will they introduce a 5 speed?
I don't know what the deal on the five speed is....I would venture to say that in a year or two we will see a 5spd auto from them. The big three usually do follow suit. They already have the 545RE, which is a five speed but isn't strong enough to handle Cummins power, it's behind the Hemi in the Power Wagon currently.
I was thinking it may be nice if they got the Automated Gear Shift trans from Mercedes that is getting put in Sterling trucks and such http://www.sterlingtrucks.com/Core/Pdf/AGS_brochure.pdf It could replace the manual and automatic. Control your shift when you want or let it do it for you.
