Here is a short excert from the .pdf file the link is to.

    Strong Performance.
Every one of these engines will feature our proven cooled-
EGR subsystem, with the patented Holset VG Turbo that
provides exceptional engine response at every rpm. The
cooled-EGR subsystem and VG Turbo have been proven
efficient and effective, running more than 16 billion miles in
every terrain and weather condition possible.
The ISB engine has an increased displacement for 2007,
going from 5.9 liters to 6.7 liters in size. It also has an
improved power-to-weight ratio. An enhanced High-
Pressure Common-Rail fuel system allows for increased
injection events during each combustion cycle. The result
is greater power and increased fuel economy with
    reduced noise.
The ISC and ISL engines also feature the enhanced
    High-Pressure Common-Rail fuel injection system,
managed by a microprocessor that’s twice as powerful
as before. Clean, highly efficient and exceptionally quiet,
these engines take proven technology to a whole new
    level of performance.
All ’07 engines will run on Ultra-Low Sulfur Diesel (ULSD)
fuel, which inherently produces less particulate matter
from combustion. ULSD also reduces the production of
    sulfuric acid.
    Ease Of Maintenance.
Cummins Particulate Filter is designed for easy
maintenance during routine service events. The
maintenance interval will vary depending on the vehicle’s
duty cycle. For a medium-duty truck operating at a
typical duty cycle, maintenance should be scheduled
at 250,000-mile (400,000 km) intervals. Ash content can
be monitored through the ECM or in-cab displays for
    servicing at the optimal interval.
New specifications are being developed for lubrication
oil, which will be compatible with low-emissions solutions,
specifically aftertreatment devices. For 2007 the
immediate requirement is to reduce ash in order to
enable extended maintenance intervals on Cummins
Particulate Filter while maintaining the important lubricity
    capability of the oil.
    The Right Technology For Tomorrow.
2007 is right around the corner and Cummins is ready
with an integrated solution that meets ’07 emissions
    without compromise. Proven engines, advanced
electronics and Cummins Particulate Filter – working
together to keep your vehicles running cleanly, quietly
and efficiently over every type of terrain. In every kind of
weather. On every size of vehicle.
    Every Question. Answered.

    PDF File 6.7 Cummins 2007

No HP or Torgue figures given. May show up at the Chicago Auto Show in the 4500 and 5500. It does sound like to me that it might also show up in the 3500 since it indicates the 5.9 has grown to 6.7. To be seen.

    I'm in line.

Has anyone seen confirmation (verifiable) that Dodge will even offer this new 6.7 in the LDs? Or is this going to be an MD/OTR engine config?

Ok , I may have my next Hot-Shotter truck in vision ...

Gave up on my 04 F350 6.0 for trying to make a living with and was looking at a "bigger" truck ....
This will be in the same class as the 4500 GMC's ??

hope it comes with a full 8 foot bed in the mega cab ....

    Sweet !!

They plan to offer the NV5600 6spd. So what happened to the Getrag 6spd. Not good enough? I wonder who will be the first to P-pump this new engine.:D

looks like it, but man, that 4500 and 5500 GC class is a nightmare! van cab with a van like dash, and a motor so far tucked under you can hardly see it.

true , I like the "size" but not the "execution" of the GMC's , although the tilt forward hood/grille is nice , gets the fenders out of the way .....

maybe Dodge will get it "right" ? I like the International RT series , but , $100,000 + ??? I can't haul enough to pay that thing off!

Last Spring , when I was still in love with my F350 , I saw an International "Lo=Pro" ,with a nice sleeper all set up for 5th wheel /goose neck hauling for $26,000 ... a year later I'm kicking myself for not trading .... DOH !!!

but most newer trucks that size cept ford 450/550 have tilt hoods. all the IH, freightliners, kenworths and other have them. its really needed once you get to a bigger truck.

plus if they had a standard hood on a truck that size you would have to dig and lay in the engine for an hour to find the engine.

i personally hate the older "aligator" hood ford's and chevy's(old 2 ton ones). you might as well crawl into the engine bay and sit in there, cuase you cant rear anything from outside of it.

I read today the 6.7 will have an optional Oil Pan with enough oil to increase the oil change interval to 20,000 miles. I think it was 25 quarts.

That will be good for commercial trucks with this engine. The pan would be to deep in a 3500 and the ariticle indicated a 3500 would be offered with this engine rated at 325hp and 700-750ft lbs of torque.

still relativly small compared to IH DT466's that have been using 28-34 qt pans forever.

The specifications I looked at said 30qts for the DT466. Largest HP rating available was 300hp and 860 ft/lbs of torque. Its weight is 1425lbs and displaces 7.6 liters.

    The 5.9 Cummins stroked to 6.7 liters may weight 1200lbs, (5.9 1034lbs)
and may have between 300-325hp and up to 700-850 ft/lbs (not known yet) of torque, depending on application.

The fact the oil pan is offered in a larger volume, indicates to me, that this engine will most likely show up in a 1 ton truck in 2007. The bigger pan will be in the commercial application trucks. (to be seen) Oil change interval at 20000 miles may be unrealistic.

The fact International has been using a larger pan for many years is because the engine was not offered in a F350, 450, or 550 Truck and was targeted at the commercial fleet. Its weight may be prohibative in a one ton truck.

If I were ford I would be looking at a 466 engine in the Medium Duty truck fleet, since its obvious that a lighter, just as powerful engine is just around the corner that may reshape the market.

but cummins in the medium duties do not hold much.
5.9L in a ford f700 only holds 18 qts in the one application i work on.
a 8.3L cummins only usually holds 22-26 depending on pan configuration in the medium duties.

Your right on the oil pan being 18qts. I saw another article today that said that. The one that said 25 qts was speculation.

The only point I was trying to make was, it appears the engine will be available in a one ton 3500 truck, with the smaller pan.

Until we actually see it, its all speculation. Some of the other dodge sites are indicating the truck will be shown at the Atlanta Truck Show in March.

There's a picture floating around of the truck with a sheet over it. I just tried to find it, no luck. Will look again. It looked like a single screw tractor.

Its been awhile since anything has been heard about the 6.7. We all wondered where the HP and Torque was. Well this is an article on a web site I came across yesterday that talks to what we all want to hear.

325hp and 750 lbs/ft of torque. Does not say much and talks about the ISC and ISL also.

    See http://firechief.com/inservice/cummins_changes040706/

Info was supposed to be from Cummins. This could be for Class 4, 5, and 6 trucks. ??

their website yesterday still has the chassis cab with 305 hp and 610 tq,

but can i comment on the statement they used as having a big increase in gcvwr to 23k,
what gives, we have 26 k gcvwr for our f350
is some one sand bagging the numbers???
looks liek they have a potential to steal some market share but are not hitting it head on?
if freightliner is building the chassis, it would seem to me they already have a capable chassis for 26k,
i am always looking at a upgrade, think there wil lbe a mid year UPPING of numbers??
