well.. a race with myself, and it will be slow. couple weekends ago i dynod the dodge... 385HP and 691 Tq at the wheels... not setting any records, nor am i planing on trying to. the goal a grand torque at the wheels... i dont know why you folks care about HP on a towing rig and it bothers me to death that everything in the diesel truck world is advertised by HP.... MEASURE the TORQUE!! so, the plans... are simple... kinda... it will just take time as my budget comes in slow and as always other things in life take priority. new clutch... obviously... South bend will be called and advise from them will be followed. so whatever they say will go. from what i read, people making a grand plus torque make between 490 and 550HP. stock wont do... a new Turbo... SPS 62 with a 14cm exhaust housing. i will take the cat to the vet and solve that problem, and then run my stack/s accordingly. with the new turbo will come new intake horn and exhaust manifolds from ATS. i like the way they fit, and from waht i understand they perform as good as the rest on the market. cool blue hoses throughout will follow. some 50HP injectors from whoever... (still looking into this one, lots to pick from) and then i want to TRY stacking a Van Aaken smart box C3.1 with my C3.2 this SHOULD get me into the TQ range i want, but SHOULD also keep the rail in check. i may need to step up my C3P a bit and add an aftermarket fuel pump setup. if that happens ill look into it at that time. that is all....:stir: Grant
no plans for it now. the big reason for the Van Aaken stack is that i have 9 options for power with 2 switches in cab while driving. if EGT's start to climb while driving in any condition, i can back off the fuel more than one way. i took the kitty to the vet yesterday, and have done nothing else... yall know how it is... money is tight. but i do have 600.00 of parts sitting in the living room.... :doah: Grant
