i took off my stacks the other day... i got tired of not being able to hold a conversation in my truck... i put on a 4" MBRP... its alot better know ... also took off the silencer ring on the turbo and man talk about a big difference....burnout
What is the benefit of removing the silencer ring? Is it just a sound thing or is there a performance gain to be had? Will it void my warranty... I took my aircleaner assembly off yesterday and saw said ring and the baffle cross thing. I am reluctant to remove them for fear of said repercussions am I bieng a wuss or what? This is my first diesel and first vehicle with a warranty
There is no performance gain just an awesome sound.the turbo is a lot louder when ur accelerating no gain when idling tho..as far as warrenty idk about that... I was reluctant as well but I finally did it and I was pleased with the results...
Ok cool.... I think I may try it I can always put it back on. What about the cross baffle thing? From what I can tell it is one of those break it out type of mods. I will try and find a used one maybe one of you guys would sell me one? Are all the later models the same as far as the air cleaner assembly? I have the 07 btw
