What tires are you guys running on your CTD's and how do you like them? I currently have Firestone Transforce AT's and they are ok but I really don't like Firestones all that much. I am thinking about running some 265 BFG AT's on the next go around for tires. Thanks

I have a set of 265 Michelin LTX M/S tires that I scored for $200 off of some 16 year old kid that chucked them off to the side in place of some Xterrains and a lift. He had just bought a truck from an older guy and the seller had put the new Michelins on for better resale..... the kid didn't care because I guess road Michelins aren't "cool" enough....lucky for me.:D

They are GREAT on the road. They ride good, are quiet, wear extremely well, and have about the best load rating you can get without going to a larger rim and HD tire. They are not that impressive offroad but do well in the rain.

I'm tossing around what I plan on getting when my Michelins are wore down. I plan on 16 or 17" Weld Super Single rims with bullet caps. (preferably 17's so I could reuse them on a future newer truck that comes standard with 17's) and either a Firestone M/T or BFG M/T in the stock 265 size. I like the look of the mud terrains and would like to do some sled pulling in the future. Plus I live on a ranch. Also, from what I have heard and seen with the BFG's, the M/T's and A/T's wear about the same speed.

My truck came with the Michelin LTX M/S 265's and they were great ! Great tread life .
I went with BFG's ( 315's A/T's ) at replacement time because I wanted a taller tire and the Michelins did not offer anything bigger in that tire style.
So far the BFG's are doing fantastic - no complaints. The "D" load range BFG's ride a whole lot softer than the "E" load range Michelins.
